"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."

Galations 6:9

Development

What could you do with a fishpond, some chickens, and maybe a pig or two? Could you feed a village? Such simple things go a long way towards making a community self-sufficient. Partners is dedicated to providing long-term, sustainable solutions to poverty. By introducing agricultural projects, animal husbandry, and small business enterprises to the refugees and IDP's, we help impoverished people help themselves.

IDPs

My name is Htoo Gey. I am a medic at a clinic in my small village and we are the only medical clinic for many, many miles around. Although I am well-trained, the people here cannot afford to pay me which is alright because I know they need to be healed. But sometimes I can only afford one meal a day. Partners gave our clinic some pigs that we now raise. Some of them we use for food, but some we sell to buy medicines. The clinic staff take turns caring for the pigs; we look after them together. So now I can help the villagers in our area, and they can stay healthy.
