"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light..."

Matthew 11:28

Pray for Burma

Families

Karren Parents
This Karen mother and father told one relief team how the Burma Army burned their two infant children alive. Weeping, they said they didnŐt understand how anyone could do something like that and that their young children didnŐt even know their right hand from their left.

The families of Burma have experienced separation and disruption due to persecution by the Burma Army.

There are many single-parent families, orphans, and parents who have lost their children to the war.

Many children have not had the opportunity to go to school because survival comes before education. The people of Burma highly value education, but when on the run, school is impossible sometimes.

In spite of this, families are still a key social structure in Burma, providing love and care in the midst of terror.

Father and Son
Although in hiding, this father and son in Shan State have not given up.
